Q. What kind of food do we feed our cats?
A. Taste Of The Wild grain-free™.
Q. What kind of food should I feed our new Dunn Kitten?
A. We introduce Iams grain-free pate™, then Taste of the Wild grain-free™ dry kibbles.
Q. How often?
A. We leave food out at all times.
Q. What shots does the kitten come with?
A. The kittens leave our home after they have received their 1st set
of kitten vaccines at the age of nine weeks. I then allow the kittens to
leave at 10 to 12 weeks.
Q. When are the next set of shots due?
A. The second set are due at 12 weeks. Then at 16 weeks their final
set of shots are administered along with their annual rabies shots.
Q. Does a Dunn Kittens come with a Wellness Visit prior to leaving for their new home?
A. Yes, when they visit the Vet for their 1st shots they receive a complete physical or wellness exam.
Q. Are we PKD,FELV and FELV negative?
A. Yes, documentation available upon request.
Q. What age does the kitten need to be spayed or neutered?
A. 6 months
Q. Are breeding rights included?
A. No. Unless you purchase the breeding rights from us you will be
required to sign a spay or neuter contract.
Q. How many litter boxes do we suggest?
A. 1 box per every 2 cats.
Q. What kind of kitty litter do we use?
A. We use Arm and Hammer™ Dust Free litter.
Q. Should I bath my kitten?
A. Yes. If you brush your kitten daily and bath the kitten once a
month you will help keep matting and excessive shedding to a minimum.
Q. Do the kitten's eyes need to be cleaned? If so how
often?
A. Flat face or Doll face Himalayans occasionally will
"run" or have a brownish discharge. I use a cotton make up
disk or cotton ball dampened with warm water to gently wipe beneath and
around the eyes and nose. If continuous or excessive please consult your family vet.
